To keep your leather furniture in excellent condition, follow these basic care rules:
Regular cleaning: Once a week, wipe the surface with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust, which can act as an abrasive. For deeper cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner with a soft crevice attachment, as dirt particles accumulate in the seams and act as an abrasive, scratching the leather surface.
Conditioning: Any leather product needs conditioning. This should be done every 6-12 months by applying a special leather conditioner. This prevents drying and cracking, keeping the material supple.
But before that, it is extremely important to deep clean the surface to remove all accumulated dirt, and for this you need to use a special, non-aggressive cleaning agent.
Protection from sun and heat: Place furniture at least 2 feet away from radiators and avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading and deformation of the leather.
Proper stain removal: If liquid spills, immediately blot (do not rub!) it with a dry cloth. Use only specialized products, such as leather care kits, and avoid harsh chemicals, soap, or alcohol.
Maintaining humidity: During the heating season, use a humidifier, as excessively dry air is harmful to natural leather.
